Kanchanaburi part I

07.28.2012

Kate, Bran and I took a normal two-day weekend and turned it into an epic, action-packed, cross-country excursion, filled with all sorts of exciting things including but not limited to: elephant and train riding, waterfall and cave exploring, birthday celebrating, and hanging out on a historic railroad.  Yayus!  We met up with a handful of friends we made from the culture course (back in May).

As you all know, I take about 500 pictures too many in any situation (and that's on a good day), so this is probably going to spread over a couple different posts.

Bran, Emily, Me (mid-blink...), Kate, Lisa and Laura

One of the main reasons we went was to celebrate Lisa's birthday.

Lisa it's your birthday, happy birthday Lisa!

Emily's boyfriend, Chad

First stop - elephant village.

A rather moody afternoon

That seems to conclude the pachyderm portion of the trip.  See Kanchanaburi part II for the rest of it!
