Hua Hin Part I: meeting up with the fam and beach time!

Around Nov. 3rd or so, we did a few errands in town before meeting up with Uncle Mike, and Aunt Nadee.

Laundry is done at the corner shop

Just some ridiculously dangerous maintenance done on the tangle of electrical wires
He was walking on just the wires, and that twisted bamboo ladder doesn't look so stable either

My fav yogurt drink

Brandon's amazing new watch that I really need to borrow sometimes!
Mike and Nadee arrive and take us out to a local eatery

Nadee knows what's up and makes sure we get some good grub
Then we share a few Leo's (Thai beer) at a local bar

The next day, and we are off to a quick start to get the van to Hua Hin.

We arrive will all limbs intact, and Nadee's cousin (who we stay with in Hua Hin) named P. Moun, takes us to a seaside restaurant for some squid, fish, mussel, and other maritime grub.

Mike went on the search for cool rocks

And apparently found some

I told him to look triumphant.  This is what he did.

We're looking fabulous as usual

Saltwater Sugars

And then we head to the beach.  The water was really warm, and there were only tiny waves.

Lots of fishing boats out on the water

Cotton candy tequitos on the beach?  Pretty delicious.

The Falang decide that we want to have a ride on the Banana Boat.

Suited up!

A dude on a jet ski pulls you around the bay at high speed on this thing

And then dumps you off when your Baht is up!
