Xmas

12.24.2012

Brandon and I were pleased as punch to receive a fancy Christmas basket from Al!

We ended up using the basket itself as a festive candy container for our Saturday class and Saturday tutoring session on Christmas Eve.

Candy-laden Sugar waiting for a ride to tutoring!

I decked our halls with the cheapest tree in the lot

The falang (+ Naomi, a traveler we met on Ko Pagnan) join us at our humble abode for Christmas sliders and Christmas movies.

Our happy little Thai apartment!

The spread minus the meat

Grill leftover from prior tenants.

It was really good at cooking two patties at once.  But no more.

Finished product.  So precious and difficult to eat!

Our original plan was to watch Rocky Horror Picture Show, but we decided to save that for another day since we had an impressive array of Christmas features downloaded for our yuletide amusement.

We ended up viewing the original animated "How the Grinch Stole Christmas" as well as the relatively new live-action one with Jim Carrey.  Then we all partook in that old classic, Home Alone.

Note the use of REAL cheese.  Not a cheap commodity over here.

Trying my best to make this mini burger look enormous.

The school week following Christmas Sunday we noted a lot of Christmas-related activity-preparing at school.

Some of our 4/9 students

Backdrop of Princess Sirindhorn on the school stage.

Cool New Years balloons were put up in front of the convenience store.  Excellent photo-op!
